You’ve got to start somewhere…

Yesterday, I attended the Online Community Unconference in San Francisco. It was a great event and my introduction to the open space conference format, a little chaotic but it turned out really well. The diversity of the attendees was great and every session was a very interactive discussion. This has inspired me to finally start a blog, though I still don’t have a solid topic to focus on. I’ve always been a little sketchy on mixing my personal life with my work life. For example, I was tooling around on Facebook this week and found that someone had started a network for my company. I joined the network and spotted a coworker’s picture that must have been a carry over from college because she had some guys shirt pulled up and was licking his chest. (Note to self: be more careful)

At the conference… errr unconference that is, I met Lee Lefever who among other things produced a couple of sweet “in plain english” video shorts on topics like RSS and Wikis. Here’s the wiki short. It’s really clever and very well done. Check it out:

On Saturday I have the first race of the Winter Park Mountain Bike Series. It’s a 5.3mi hill climb, and I’m 10+ lbs over where I should be so I’m not expecting any miracles. It should be a fun summer…
